Hardcover First edition with a dust jacket. The book has all the points of a first edition. However the jacket is missing several of the points which would indicate it as a first; thus, it is likely a second issue jacket. The exterior of the front board has a small, light stain and some wear a long the edges but is overall in good condition. The jacket has wear and soiling and a large sticker scar where the Caldecott medal award sticker has been removed. There is also wear mainly along the edges of the jacket. It is now in an archival protective cover. Overall, this is an acceptable copy of the RARE First edition and will be professionally packaged and promptly shipped.
