FAQs:

Q: Do we buy books?

A: We can offer store credit for most books. Cash is offered on a selective basis. Condition is very important- books with hi-lighting/notations, damaged bindings, beaten or heavily worn covers, insect and water damage, mold or mildew will likely not receive an offer. We're not looking for magazines, romance paperbacks or textbooks. Several boxes or less can be brought by during store hours, larger collections will need to schedule a house call.

Q: What is store credit?

A: Store credit is like a gift certificate in the store. It's good for one year and usable during our sales too. Our store credit offer will always be bigger than a cash offer, if you're a reader it's a great way to get more books (who doesn't need more books?). Store credit can be used to cover your entire purchase if you have enough. Store credit and gift certificates are not redeemable for cash.

Q: Parking?

A: We have two parking lots. The gravel lot at the intersection of State St. and Meeting St., as well as a paved lot right after our building ends on Meeting St. (it's easy to miss).

Q: Gift Certificates?

A: Yes, we have gift certificates. These can be bought in shop or over the telephone with a credit card. We can hold them to be picked up or mail them.
