Fifth Edition. Rebound in 3/4 leather with gilt spine lettering and design. "Concordia Res Parvae Crescunt" gilt seal stamped on the front board. Leather boards are rubbed along the edges and rubbed through at the corners. Chipped at the crown of the spine. Rear board has some wrinkling towards the fore edge and 2 1/2 inch by 1 inch stain by the spine. Has a good binding. Verso the front free marbled endpaper is a modern gift inscription (dated 2008) along with some page numbers written in black ballpoint pen. Pages 123, 125, 131, and 141 have blue ballpoint pen notations in the margin, none obscuring text. From page 785 till the end has a shallow stain at the top corner.
