Hardcover First American edition with the original cloth covered boards and embossing on front/rear panels. Spine has been re-backed but the original spine was reattached. On the exterior there is wear mainly on the board corners and small sections (crown/toe) of the original spine are missing. Internally there is a slight separation at the front hinge and the rear hinge has been reinforced with cloth library tape. Pages are age toned and show a bit of mild foxing. One page has a small notation. An interesting Quaker view of slavery in Antebellum America. Professional packaging and prompt shipping.
