Volume 9, bound edition, containing 52 issues of the weekly newspaper "The Albion" from June 12, 1830 to June 4, 1831. 1/4 leather binding, with marbled paper boards. Leather has considerable wear, and is completely peeled at rear upper outer corner. There is a remnant of a small gummed label on lower spine. Marbled boards are moderately rubbed and soiled. Front has the name "E. B. Rothmahler" embossed on it with a decorative gilt border. There is damage from insect tunneling in the margins throughout. It obscures small portions of the very uppermost part of text in issues no.1, and nos.49-52. There are articles cut out of page 191 (in issue 24), page 253 (in issue no. 32), and page 393 (in issue no. 50). Foxing and some dark, age-related spot staining throughout. Outer pages are wrinkled, front endpapers are torn, and a few interior pages are creased. Front endpaper has a name in sepia ink. This bound edition contains 416 pages.
