1914 first edition. Blue cloth boards have embossed details and an illustrated plate. Moderate edge wear and soiling, fading along edges. Spine is bumped at top and bottom and has soiling and fading. Back board has a small dark stain along top edge. Binding is good. Page edges are heavily foxed. Front endpaper has a gift inscription in pen. Rear pastedown has an old bookseller sticker. Outer pages have some foxing. Two color plates (p.36 & p.82) have come loose, but are present. The outer edges of those two plates have staining and closed tears. Other pages are clean and unmarked, with toning. LO.
